Brand Refresh & Identity System

Design & Creative Direction

Part of my responsibilities at the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) was the development and evolution of the COC and Team Canada’s brand guidelines and visual identity system, including all brand extensions and executions. After fully immersing into the brand, and helping to establish a new strategy, positioning and brand platform called  "Be Olympic," I led an identity refresh with a graphic toolkit that focused on the oval as the central graphic element and refined colour, type, iconography, pictograms and photography style. These new brand and digital guidelines were developed and hosted on a web-based platform to provide the most current branding, accessibility compliance. With the new always on identity in place I led the re-desigin of the interiors of the COC's head offices, stationery and communication materials, digital graphics, a website refresh on and a newly developed Team Canada app.
